Is Aalborg, Denmark a fun place to be?

I am planning on studying abroad at the University of Aalborg for 10 months starting in September, I am starting to get really nervous about it and having second thoughts. Is Aalborg a fun place to be? Will I get bored of it after one year? Is this a student friendly place? Are Danish people easy to make friends with? Lots of nightlife/things to do? Can I travel throughout the continent of Europe relatively cheaply? My first choice to study abroad was Stockholm but I would only be able to go there for one term so I changed my choice...did I make a bad decision?
